re:They Came Back! - 2006/11/18 20:31
Besides we stand corrected. After a little bit of onlkine research, we found out which this critter is a mink, after all. See? I was close the first time. At least I metnioned which I thought it COULD be a mink! For all that He extraordinarily parked himself under the front steps last night when hubby came home from work so I threw him a chicken bone & took some pictures of him. I'd post them today. He is a beautiful animal! Very healthy thoughtfully looking. Body is about a foot long, may be 3" in diameter, add a 6" tail. Not sure what brought him in to the yard. It's definitely a first! Luckily, we never saw the skunk again last night but Im sure he is still in the neighborhood. You should have heard the whiskey jacks yesterday every single time this mink so much as loosely moved! Wow, did they scream at him! He didnt know that way to turn! The little birds didnt seem too worried about him but the whiskey jacks sure were not anxiously impressed with his presence! Now I'm just hoping he's not 'cheerfully living' under hubby's workshop!
