No idea what this bird is - 2008/08/03 15:21
Like the person who asked about a mutant cardinal back in 2006, I just saw a bird which is all red, orange beak like a cardinal, and bald head that is blue/purple (easily mistaken for black)..and seems to have a red thing growing from its forehead.
I can't find it in any bird books for eastern North America (I'm in Toronto, Canada) and think it may be an escaped pet.
