bird ID (probably a sparrow, but looks a bit different) - 2006/10/13 03:28
What's this little bird?

Found in Newton, Massachusetts. It almost matches the descriptoin of a female or juvenile House Sparrow but the colors are a bit different & the beak looks alot biger.
I put out finch food instead of sunflower seeds & got no finches.
In short instaed I got these. I read somewhere that the House Sparrow is really more of a finch than a sparrow -- does that mean they like finch food?
