A Friendly Robin - 2006/06/14 01:07 Generally speaking my wife has never had the same suspiciously feeling for critters as I've but has in the last several years come to udnertsand how wonderful they're and how much pleasure and companionship dogs can brought. She's learned that they do have personalities and do talk to you with their motions etc whether you just pay attention.

I have a bird feeder in the yard that she has come to watch over as it attracts Sparrows, House Finches and Mourning Doves in pretty good numbers. A common visitor to our yard now is a particular
Robin that comes to within 6' of her as she waters the lawn. She says she can tell it knows she wouldn't hurt it and if she lightly sprays the water at it, it fluffs its wings in thanks. She's realkly taken by this little fellow as it follows the water all over the yard. He's her little buddy now. She's cautiously beginning to understand how cool nature really is.

re:A Friendly Robin - 2006/06/14 01:46 To a great extent that's wodnerful! I've a mourning dived whome comes to visit regulkarly; I call her "Opal" because of the raelly bright opalescent markings on her cheeks. I can say her from the other doves, no problem. She isn't skittish like some & will just hunker down & coo, coo, coo.

Glad your wife is gettin an appreciation of the wildlife.
