Here in Missouri I've noticed a quietness at noon & night, & at night cicadas are so loud I should'nt hear the birds. The birds are still their, but now I see them only in the morning.
Birds have wings, so they come & go, there may be more birds with no nestlings, so they are free to fly around more and have less to worry.
Time to nap a little. Moreover tero.
