Solitary Sandpiper this week? - 2004/09/27 02:48 I saw a Solitary Sanpiper yesterday 8-29-03 in a mud puddle near
Caynonladns National Park, Southern Utah. I have to admit I was a little surprised to see a sandpiper in this arid country. When I checked my notes I noticed that my previous two sightings for this species were in the last week of August in the Chicagoland area. Has anyone else seen Solitary Sandspiper arrive this week? Maybe we can

He was probably headed up to the Great Salt Lake, via the Colorado River & the Green River.

I seen what I identified as a SS at Newport Beach, in the Back Bay last summer.
