That is just awful! I am so sorry for you!
I don't understand why anyone would take a bird from its home. Birds don't readjust very well so they will be terrible pets for whomever gets them.
I am very afraid that someone will take my macaw. It would be easy to jump the fence, pull the french doors open and take him. There has been a lot of workers around the house in the last few months, and that frightens me too. I have the house alarmed, but I don't turn it on, because if it went on by accident (which it does once in a while) I am sure the bird would die just from the sound. I really need to look into arming my house again after reading your story.
Do you mind telling us how the abduction happened? Did they break through a door or window? What are thieves willing to do to make a few hundred dollars???
Again, so sorry! I hope you get them both back.

Friday 7/13/07 idiots with no respect for other peoples feelings stole two of our children {1} thirty year old lilac crested amazon & {1} blue streaked lorie. It has destroyed my honey to no end. She cannot have kids so these are her kids. Just do not know what to say. Have not found pictures yet. 
Have you contacted all the pet-institutions that people turn to when they find an animal?
