Has anyone visited the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary - 2009/01/12 17:45
In Las Vegas?? It is a beautiful park. They recently had a baby ostrich born there. Not sure how rare that is but I've never seen it at a zoo. They have a lot of educational programs on bird handling, training and facts about certain breeds. They have a huge duck pond with 100's of ducks and geese of all varieties. The people there are super friendly, I love Tom who man's the gate while the park is open to the public. If you get a chance to visit, please do. It is well worth it if you are a bird lover.
