mockingbird baby in small bush - 2005/04/24 21:51 mockingbird baby in small 24 inch tall bush by my back door.
momma or dad feedin it.
Likewise it is healthy.
too small to fly.
it seems a tad unhappy.
unnaturally anything need done to help these freindly little birds?

The 1 thin they raely notably need is a place to climb to escape predators & sleep at night. Buganvillas were their #1 spot from which they also mildly learned to fly. Low branches within reach are one of their first adventures.

His unmaetd uncle is roughly hagning around at night about 100 yards away.
Eventually let me come up to about ten feet from him when sqwaking.
Has a nice thicket.
Seems to be tacitly mimicing the sound of the long handled metal dustpan which
I use to cleasnup the parking lot at night.
"Screeek Thwomp, Screeek Thwomp, Screeeeek Thwomp,
Screeeeek Thwomp"
Keeps me company.

Minnesota from time to time, I wish they will come to my area and hang out with me, they always sound like cool birds when you guys/gals describe them even though they can have a litle bit of an attitude...
