I doubt it'd make any difference. In my very limited knowledgible opinion, Hummers are very territorial so they keep watch all around them. For example, in the past (always having only 1 feeder) Next we've had hummers stay in a tree in our yard, in the neighbors yards, incl across the street, and fight over the contents of the feeder. Typically we have 3 around at any one time, when one comes in, another takes off after it and as its chasing that one away, the other comes in and sneaks a drink, and the circle continues. Distances involved, artound 100' away.
