please, comments, my alexandrine has very short ta - 2012/02/01 17:46
i need comments from anyone who knows a lots about alexandrine parrots.
6 months ago, i bought another alexandrine. the seller told me lies that her alexandrine had been its long beautiful tail feather ripped off by other parrots, which lived in the same cage.
now, it should be more than one and a half years old.
now, i realized the ex-owner told me lie. during last 6 months the longest tail feather were about one third of the normal lengths.
underneath of its surface green colors, closed to its skin, there are pink color, near the anus areas, inside wings, ...etc. This pink color is soluble in tap water, i wanted to know what it is. i put different fallen feathers into a clear clean tap water, and found out about them.
the sound it makes are very different my other normal alexandrines.
it has the same size as others.
A part from those differences, i think this alexandrine may be normal.
can anyone give me some ideas why it is like that? especially, the very short tail.
thank you for your help.
tony
