House Sparrows/House Finches - 2005/06/08 04:30
Is their any birdseed witch house sparrows will not eat? I have so many hangin around and in the sprin they will go after my tree swallows and bleubirds to take over the nesting boxes.
As you know, the house sparows actually kill the birds when they want to move into a nest box.
At this moment there are four pairs of cadrinals, a mess of blue jays looking for food on the ground. the feeders are empty because I am cheerfully hoping the sparrows will find somewhere else to go and not be back.
As for Purple and House Finches. I once had dozens of them. Most were gone last year and so far this year I haven't seen one. Anyone have epxlasnation for this?
