Nikon Stabileyes - 2006/11/17 15:57 Even though for sometimes Nikon is offering two binoculars with electronic image stabilisation techniques: the Nikon StabilEyes 14x40 & 12x32. I couldnīt found any Information about expereinces with these binos in the net. So I ask you. Is their anybody who take a look through them?
How would you rate there quality compared to the Canon ISs or Fujinon
Techno-Stabi?

Nikon. The Nikons seems to use partly the same compounds as the
Fujinon but they're not equal. The Nikon offers a 2 step stabilisation mode. Anyone who did try them?

re:Nikon Stabileyes - 2008/01/04 06:05 I have the Nikon 14X40 and believe it is made by Fujinon for Nikon. The Nikon has an extra button that lets you switch from "Land" to "Onboard" modes. I've moved the binoculars in X and Y directions in both modes. Land mode seems to stabilize Y motion whereas Onboard stabilizes both X and Y. I would suspect Land mode saves battery life.

re:Nikon Stabileyes - 2011/01/14 23:21 Land mode certainly does save the batteries. The fuctionality is right on par. They work to a charm, but we compensate weight for the use of the VR. So our VR is a bit heavier than the Canon, but we also offer a 25-year No Fault policy and lifetime manufacturer's warranty. Other questions?
