New budgies - 2006/12/19 14:44
Hi. I'm new on the block. I just got a pair of budgies and I'm a bit disappointed. I got them because a few years ago I had a Rosella and it was not a friendly bird at all. I wanted budgies because I thought they were easy and friendly. But these girls must be a bit traumatized. After three weeks, I can't tame them at all. I put my hand in the cage slowly several times a day and they're just terrified -- like I'm going to eat them or something. I want to just reach in and grab them! I don't want to get rid of them, but I didn't get them just to look at, I wanted a little company (I live in a very stressful place and can't have any other kind of pet).
Any advice?
