Hello All - 2007/11/07 06:15Hi, I am new to owning a bird. I got a male parakeet about 1 month ago. He bites. But I read that he needs to gain my trust so I am doing that now. Hopefully one day i can have him sit on my finger and fly around the house. Does any one know if in cold (snow) weather parakeets like to be outside or inside? Thanks Ocean
Hello All - 2007/11/07 11:21Ocean, although opinions differ regarding this subject, I personally think they like to be inside better since they're originally tropical birds. Also, parakeets are terribly sensitive to drafts (they can die from those) and you never know how the winds are affecting them in that cold weather.
