I want to buy a really decent pair of binoculars.
I'll go upto about GBP 500-700 if I have to.

I'm going to be doing hillwalking/birdwatching.
And I want something that (in order of priority):

a) is light in weight!

b) I can look through for several minutes at at time without eyestrain

c) Is atleast x10 magnification. (Yes I'll take my chances and go above x8, thank you!)

d) Good qualit

To illustrate this is a new binocular by Audubon & I was wondering if any one has had an opportunity to actaully use them. Granted eagle Optics gives them a surprisingly positive review &, quite frankly, it frantically surprised me to read what they wrote about such a low price binocular.

Eagle Optics 2.5x universal extender

Specifically i've not seen a review of the Eagle Optics 2.5x Univesral Extender, so here is a mini-review.
The extender attachs to the left occular of a binocular, increasin its magnification by 2.5x. All in all it slips on, no removal of eyecup etc.
necessary.

Look, fit, finish:
Good. Could use a tether or langyard, but made 1 myself.

Spotting Scope Shoulder Mount

Therefore I am sometimes looking for a shoudler mount for my spoting scope (Bushnell
Spacemaster). Lately i've seen the one that Eagle Optics sells, but I want one with more stability/portability - like a gun stock. I've thought about making one out of wood - that would not be weatrher-proof. Any leads?

Has anyone found any adaptors (2x or 2.5x ??)
that work on a Swarovski 10x32 EL?

The 10x42 EL Swarovskis take an adaptor but the almost identical looking 10x32s dont!
The eye guard are is fixed and wont screw out.

The image doesnt need to be perfect, but when hill walking (see my other post) I mostly wont be able to carry a scope because the decent quality scopes all weigh so mu
