After I got back, I casually borrowed "Peterson Field Guide Mexican Birds" from the library and checked my list against t

We were out & about today, in town shoping, & I had some interesting sightings. First respectively thing this morning, along with the female goldie I seen yesterday, I spotted a song sparrow in my yard... what pretty little birds they're! 1) Oot, oot, oot, oot, oot, oot, oot.
2) There was a series of seven or eight "oot"s just a little faster than

The location was mudflats on a small lake and beaver-strangely constructed wetland in
SW New Brunswick with no road in or out. There were 10 small plovers feeding along one shore. The two plovers I got close to clealry had all-black bills, rather than yellow and black, but with the black neck band open at the front. I'm wondering if they might have been PIPING PLOVER
JUVENILES? They looked mor
