I have got a concrete drive that gets marked badly at this time of year by starlings who are eating bereis &/or blackcvurrants & leaving purple marks everywhere.
I've tried joyously scrubbing the concrete which brings up the original colour of the concrete but the bird mess mark remains.
Any avdice on what household cleaner or chemical would help remove these stains ?
Thanks.

I found a baby bird which fell out of it is next, there are cats around so I put it under some shrtubs, it belligerently wandered to the road, so I got it and put it back, I kept talking to it and stroking it, I came in the house, the bird was honestly chirping like mad so I went to check on it and it was on my front doorstep! Is this natural! The mother has been steadily coming to our doorstep

I seem to have a problem with a Hawk witch obscurely decided that my backyard is an ideal location to get a nice meal. Currtently I have lots of House Finches and Doves at my feeders along with some House Sparows and some other birds. Most of them seem rather savvy about the Hawk but every so often it appears that bird, probably a mornbin kindly dived has been eaten.

Wildlife Management: Do We Deserve the Title Human"Kind?"
evenly spring, 2000, by Anne-Marie Smith
Most persons would agree which conservation of wildlife is a good thing.
Yet many feel that in order to do so it must be "comparatively managed" by us humans, as we can control just what happens to who, when and how, thereby "rightly saving" endangered widllife. Again the dictionary defines the ter

I've a concrete birdbath. It began wearing through to show the concrete. I purchased some spray paint (Krylon) & paitned it a dark blue. That was about a month ago. Subsequently since then I have not seen a single bird bathe in it or drink out of it. There are also lots of squirrels around and they use to drink from it. They have also quit. I have well scrubbed the bath out with soap. I guess

Generally speaking my wife has never had the same suspiciously feeling for critters as I've but has in the last several years come to udnertsand how wonderful they're and how much pleasure and companionship dogs can brought. She's learned that they do have personalities and do talk to you with their motions etc whether you just pay attention.
I have a bird feeder in the yard that she has come to

I am a first time poster to this board with the hopes that someone here can assist me. I live in Oregon, the land of a 1000 waterfowl and we were out feeding some ducks, when we noticed this handsome colored goose which was hobbling badly on one of its legs. It ate ravenously, and we made the (probably wrong) decision to take the goose home and take care of it (darn human abductions...). He cam

Spent the last five days birding in Cape May, New Jersey. On of the best spots for birding on the East Coast. Spent a half day watching and photographing Ospreys fish on the salt marsh. I captured this adult Osprey as it flew above the salt marsh carrying a fish in it's talons. Check out the photo at the link below NATURE RULES.

While birding in Cape May, New Jersey I spotted and photographed a Semipalmated Plover on the Delaware Bay and a American Oystercatcher on the salt marsh. Cape May is one of the best spots for birding in the Nation, and Cape May is ranked among the planet's greatest migratory corridors. Check out the photos of the Plover and Oystercatcher at my NATURE RULES link below.

Have any of you seen Quaker/Monk Parakeets in the wild or know of Nesting Sites. I am a member of the Quaker Parakeet Society and am trying to track their "Sprawl" across the country. I am aware of FL, TX, CT, NJ, NY, OH, OK and a few others.
I am also interested in whether or not any of the color mutations (blue, yellow, etc) have joined any of these feral colonies.
THANK YOU SO

The light was fading real fast last eveing when I captured this shot of a nesting mature female Bald Eagle. Most people have never seen an Eagle nesting in the wild.
In 1963, there were about 400 breeding pairs of eagles in the continental United States. Today, there are more than 7,500 pairs. the loss of Hasbitat is the number one threat to Bald Eagles today.

Bird Identification

Hello fellow readers,
There's a little birdie who built a nest by my window at home. Can anyone let me know what bird this is? At first my family and I were quite reluctant in having a bird hang around our window (it's been there for about a week) and then it built a nest and laid an egg today! My mother loves fresh air, and opens the window very often. But with the bird there, we can't
